Col. Lisec's Photos of Neil Brown's AT at Budop

plus other photos from his personal collection

8th APS Mobility Operations Branch

PHOTOS INDEX

In November, of 1969, Neil Brown was caught in a rocket and mortar attack at Budop.
When it was all over, his AT was toast, and Col. Lisec took these photos.
Graciously supplied by his widow, Connie Lisec, who told us that of all his commands during his career, Command of the 8th APS - and especially the Mobility Teams, was his most rewarding experience.

The first photo was posted outside Col. Lisec's office at Tan Son Nhut when I arrived in January, 1970.
Since that time - and until Mrs. Lisec supplied us the original, this photo had been on our list of must-find photographs from Vietnam.

The lower photo is of an 8th APS Airman being awarded a Purple Heart at Song Be
Below that is a photo of Col. Lisec and Capt. Kahr on their way to the orphanage near Song Be at Christmas, 1969

Thank you, Colonel Lisec, for being the leader that you were.
and
Thank you, Mrs. Lisec for helping us put our history together.
